The mundane killed the beautiful

You are being punished because you followed the rules blindly. You believed that your sincerity would cloak you, make you invisible from the evil in this world, the evil that wants to destroy beautiful things. But the world does not live in such childlike caricatures. What destroyed your love were mundane things. Like bills that were due, and mortgages that needed to be paid. Your ambitions were flattened and your goals smothered. There was never room enough for your love. It was killed because you were naïve enough to think that you were special. That you belonged to the lucky few. But you did not. Your love, your life, you…everything was a cliché. A stereotype replicated by others a hundred, a million times over in past, present, and future. You are being punished because, although you were sincere, you never treated the love you found with the respect a force of nature like that demanded.
