The memory banks that hold whatever precious memories I have of her, I have quarantined. These memories are too sacred to destroy but also too hurtful to keep lying around. I won’t forget the love I felt for her. That love is – for better and for worse – the foundation for the person I am today. I achieved what I set out to do years ago: To move past the life we had built together and then discarded. Let these words I wrote from now on do the heavy lifting of caring for what once was. I no longer do.

Loved it!!
