I loved a woman that didn’t exist. She was from flesh and blood, but she didn’t exist. She had a beating heart, I am sure, but she didn’t exist. She would always greet me with a heart-achingly beautiful smile, and still, that woman didn’t exist. She swore she only loved me, but there was no one uttering those words. She promised me ‘forever’, but what remains is only a faint echo of that fickle sentiment haunting my mind now.
