Without this love

Growing is, accepting that she can say she loves you and then change her mind. So now you have to change your mind too. You can fall out of love too. Your life does not have to revolve around the promise you once made to one another. Those words do not have to have the weight they once had. Yes, we loved each other, but we do not anymore. We cared for one another, but those feelings we have carefully dressed in bubble wrap and put out of the way. We can do without each other. We can do without this love.
