When we say things like, ‘I love you to the moon and back,’ we reflect the romantic sentiment we will never leave each other’s side. But most people in the back of their minds know that not all, or rather, -most- relationships won’t last. But for some of us, this kind of pragmatism is not an option. We will drive this thing called love until the wheels come off. And afterward, we still manage to stand amid the wreckage, staring incredulously at the broken remains of what we — up until then — deemed indestructible.
