Letting Go

If this pain was fleeting
I would bare it

If it brought you closer somehow
I would not give up

If it was patience that was needed
I would gladly hold on to our dream just a little longer

But there is no end to this
No purpose to this suffering

So I will let go

I’ll let go of you
Of us
And all that never will be
