She will invite you for diner, but you must not go. Loving her will seem inevitable, but it isn’t. Keep cherishing that unrequited love. Keep dreaming that impossible dream. It is better than these desolate lands of despair. It is less painful than a ripped-out heart. Take one brave step after another backward. Move away from her. From her deadly smile. From her frighteningly beautiful eyes. She is a siren. She will hurt you. She will crush you. But never mean any of it. And in the end, it will be you. It will be you alone. So go back. Don’t look back. There is a life without her. There is a world with no regrets.
