Couples flirt with people other than their partners. Not always because they intend to cheat. Perhaps to find out how good they are still doing on the singles market. Some arrive at the conclusion that they can do better but nonetheless will have no desire to pursue things further. Others consider themselves — after a flirtation — lucky for having the partner they have. And then there are those, even though they believe their partner finds them desirable, still once in a while need an external affirmation.
