Every historical event. Every beam of light gliding through the emptiness of space. Every quantum fluctuation dancing in and out of reality on the edge of a black hole. All were merely a prelude to her existence. And if she had given this universe of ours but one smile, she would have brought more splendor into that icy darkness than a billion galaxies could have constellated. I am grateful for the wisdom of the prophets. For, without them, mankind most certainly would have worshiped her as a deity by now.
