Dark Forest

Thirty-six minds, all accounted for but one.

Once, it reigned supreme. Basking in her glory, it eclipsed all other minds. But one day she did not return home. It chased after her for such a long time, eventually finding only darkness as its sole companion.

Then the other thirty-five minds started plotting and scheming. That one mind has to go! Was what they decided. So, they lured it to the edge of the dark forest, bound it to a tree, and left it there.

Thirty-six minds, all accounted for but one.

Sometimes, when all the chattering, going on inside my head, momentarily stops, I can still hear it howling at me from afar.
