Before I left, she asked me to leave her my t-shirt. So you could continue being with me tonight, she said. It was a hot summer night. The weather in Holland is not to be trusted though — so, earlier that day, I had brought with me a light jacket, just in case. I wore the jacket and left her the t-shirt. That was the first time, at our beginnings, I seriously considered the possibility this woman was as crazy about me as I was about her.
