I used these words as therapy
To change the me that was hurting
Into a pain-free new person
Who enjoys life without her
Who has ambitions without her
Who can imagine loving somebody else
And with time, with grit,
These words healed what was broken
These words created a whole man
With his ego unbruised
And a heart that dares to walk
in the light again
